Itinerary

Day 1

 

Your journey will start at 10:00 am with a warm welcome and refreshments in a luxury historic hotel in the centre of Seville. Explore the city’s historic quarter, try the local cuisine at lunch, and board the Al-Andalus Train for welcome drinks and the chance to meet the train staff. Your first dinner will be served in the restaurant wagons with their incredible vintage charm. The train stays overnight in Jerez.

Day 2

On the second day of the Al-Andalus 2024 Train tour, a delightful breakfast will be served on board, before travelling to Cádiz in a luxury coach. Cádiz is believed to be the oldest city in Europe and you will have the opportuniy to explore the historic centre and port. Returning to the train in Jerez for lunch, there will be time to enjoy the Belle Epoque-style rooms before dinner in a resturant in Jerez. The train will stay stationed overnight in Jerez.

Day 3

 

Following breakfast, you will visit a famous Sherry winery to learn more about Jerez’s biggest export where there will be the opportuniy to try some of their products. After this, there will be an Andalusian horse show. Returning to the train, you will start the journey towards Ronda while lunch is served onboard. In the evening, you will indulge in dinner at a local restaurant, concluding the day with an overnight stay in the picturesque city of Ronda.

Day 4

 

After breakfast, you will explore the historic city of Ronda with its Alameda del Tajo park and breathtaking viewpoint, iconic bridges, and incredible landmarks, such as the oldest bullring in Spain. You will have some free time here for independent exploration and soaking in the scenic views. Return to the Al-Andalus Train for the journey to Córdoba while eating dinner onboard. The night will be spent in Córdoba.

 

Day 5

Following breakfast, your Al-Andalus Train journey will continue with a visit to Córdoba, exploring the medieval city and the impressive Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a lunch on board, you will travel to Linares station in Baeza, with serene views of the Andalusian countryside along the way. Take the opportunity to relax looking out at these views, lying comfortably in the privacy of your suite or in one of the train cars. In the afternoon, you will discover the World Heritage Cities of Úbeda and Baeza. After these cities, you will resume your journey on the Al-Andalus Train to Granada, enjoying a dinner served on board and evening entertainment. You will spend the night in Granada.

Day 6

After breakfast, you will get the opportunity to spend some time taking in Spain’s most visited site, the UNESCO-listed Alhambra. Roam through the stunning palaces, including the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife Palace gardens, before enjoying free time in the afternoon to explore Granada’s centre. The evening will conclude with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant, offering up the finest dishes of Andalusian cuisine.

Day 7

After your final onboard breakfast, you will bid farewell to the train and its crew, and embark on a scenic coach journey to Málaga. There, you will explore the historic Alcazaba and enjoy some free time before a final lunch. Your Andalusian adventure will come to an end at Málaga Train Station.
